Hello,  for the commercial assignment I choose Ashleigh Miller, Britanique Simpson, and Isabel D'Onofrio. I met Ashleigh in my Spanish class in my sophomore year in high school. We were really good friends and we helped each other out a lot that year. I met Britanique also in my Spanish class we also created a good friendship there. We both worked on projects and learned to work together. I met Isabel in my senior year in AICE media studies. She needed a group to work in and we wanted to work with another person so she joined us. Since then we have gotten along really well and with everyone else. I'm excited to work with this group and get to create a commercial with them. We all communicate really well together as a group. At the moment we are assigning tasks on who is doing what. We first wanted to create a concept we all thought about for a bit and decided to go with Ashleigh's idea. Her idea was to do it on ink joy pens. We thought all about how we could make something cool and we thought about creating a short story on losing a pen and finding it again and the journey it took to get there. This was a really fun process to go through as a group, we laughed and brainstormed new concepts and ideas. After we are done brainstorming we are creating our blogs and finalizing what everyone is going to contribute to the project. We had a discussion to find out what each of our strengths is and who would be better of to do the task. The process was fun as we talked about it in a group and talked about our strengths and weaknesses. Overall I'm happy to be working with friends and new friends. This project is going to be a blast.

This was my group's second big project in this class. This project was a lot of fun and it was memorable. I learned to have a better plan before shooting to make sure everyone can follow through with the plans. My team and I learned to plan and direct some scenes and how to capture stuff at the best angles. I was really happy with how the majority of the shots came out and how all of us came together to make a fun video. My team and I  created a fun video and did many fun things to create the video. Going to the arcade was really fun because we made the best out of our time and even though we actually didn't play anything. In the end, the editing process did become stressful because some things had to be last minute and the number of clips we had. My team and I figured everything out and it did become easier and we were happy to complete it. Genre Research: Drama

       Common camera angles in drama films are usually close-up shots to capture the actor's emotions. Long-shots are where the actor/ object is usually centered and all the attention is on them. Over-shoulder shots usually happen when a character is having a conversation and show the emotions on the person's face. An extreme close-up shows the intensity that is going on in that particular scene. Many drama movies are edited so that the main characters' face is one of the first things you see. It also has lots of POV shots, it shows the character's face then what they are seeing, it would switch back and forth between each view. When it comes to sound many films have diegetic and non-diegetic sounds. Editing day

 On the first day of editing, I wasn’t with my teammates but I texted them while they were at school. In the group chat, we talked about what shots we had and where they would go. My teammates sent the lyrics in the group chat so we could discuss which part could go where. Once the lyrics were sent I deconstructed the song in my head in multiple pieces. I went through with my group which parts we should include and they gave their thoughts. We texted a verse in the song and matched it with the shot we had taken. My teammates and I all did this so we could get each other opinions. After that, we picked through the parts we liked the most. (9)This process took about fifteen minutes to complete.
