AICE Media Studies

This was my group's second big project in this class. This project was a lot of fun and it was memorable. I learned to have a better plan before shooting to make sure everyone can follow through with the plans. My team and I learned to plan and direct some scenes and how to capture stuff at the best angles. I was really happy with how the majority of the shots came out and how all of us came together to make a fun video. My team and I  created a fun video and did many fun things to create the video. Going to the arcade was really fun because we made the best out of our time and even though we actually didn't play anything. In the end, the editing process did become stressful because some things had to be last minute and the number of clips we had. My team and I figured everything out and it did become easier and we were happy to complete it.  On the next day of editing my group and I did the final touches. I talked to them about how I would like it and asked how they would like the video to be set up. I wanted the video to be a lot of different clips together and some scenes to match the lyrics. I thought it would be easier and take less time and thinking. On the other hand, they wanted the video to follow or match the video exactly with the lyrics. I thought this process would become complicated if they felt that they didn't have a clip for the lyrics. In the group chat, we talked about editing again because we weren't next to each other to talk in person. My teammates sent the different trials of the video in the chat so I could see them. My other teammate sent the audio we were using in the chat to double-check if we all liked it. We all did and then my other teammate began to combine all of it.  On the first day of editing, I wasn’t with my teammates but I texted them while they were at school. In the group chat, we talked about what shots we had and where they would go. My teammates sent the lyrics in the group chat so we could discuss which part could go where. Once the lyrics were sent I deconstructed the song in my head in multiple pieces. I went through with my group which parts we should include and they gave their thoughts. We texted a verse in the song and matched it with the shot we had taken. My teammates and I all did this so we could get each other opinions. After that, we picked through the parts we liked the most. (9)This process took about fifteen minutes to complete. Once my teammates and I were done we started putting the scenes together in the order we wanted. That didn't take too long. After this, we began to do the audio this was the fun part.  Today was a good day of filming my group and I planned on going to the bowling alley and the arcade on the same day, but since everyone was not able too only one of us could go which was me. The plans got switched up last minute because not everyone could come with a ride. So we had to cut out the bowling alley and just stick to the arcade. Luckily for me, my friends were planning on hanging out with me that day so I decided to go to the mall where there was an arcade. I texted my teammates and told them that I was able to go to the record that day because we didn't have that much time left to shoot. So I got picked up by my friends and we headed to the mall. Once we got to the mall we recorded ourselves getting food and walking around. We shopped around for a bit and then we sat down for a bit because our legs hurt.  On day one of filming I texted my teammates on where we were going to meet up to film. We texted and went over multiple locations because we had to cut out the bowling scenes. We weren’t able to do bowling because of cost and a lack of a ride. So I texted and said we could do the park and the arcade and my teammates agreed. So I told them I could meet at 3:30 and they could too. I met up with them at the park and we began to map out what we were going to do. My teammates and I ran into a problem during shooting because we didn’t have a couple to work with. So my team and I began to shoot our selves having fun until we found a couple. After shooting for a bit my brother texted me and said him and his girlfriend could come. I waited a bit for them and while I waited we reviewed the videos we had to see if they were good.
