Editing Day: The Finishing touches
On the next day of editing my group and I did the final touches. I talked to them about how I would like it and asked how they would like the video to be set up. I wanted the video to be a lot of different clips together and some scenes to match the lyrics. I thought it would be easier and take less time and thinking. On the other hand, they wanted the video to follow or match the video exactly with the lyrics. I thought this process would become complicated if they felt that they didn't have a clip for the lyrics. In the group chat, we talked about editing again because we weren't next to each other to talk in person. My teammates sent the different trials of the video in the chat so I could see them. My other teammate sent the audio we were using in the chat to double-check if we all liked it. We all did and then my other teammate began to combine all of it. While they were doing that I began to look at filters. I picked a lot of different shots and began applying different filters to them to see which one fit the genre of the song better. I knew we needed something that was bright, happy, and also looked like it was filmed with an old camera. Some filters added very bright lights in different colors which were pretty cool to me. I applied the filter to the shots and it looked good so I sent it to the group to see their opinion on it. They liked the idea of it and added it to the video. I also wanted to go back into the shots and look for different filters and look for something that would make the shot look like a flashback or a memory. After looking for a while I found the perfect one and made the colors softer looking and made it look bright at the same time. I sent the filter into the group chat and they like it but they were still going to look around. Once my teammates and I found all of the filters and audios we were ready to complete the video. This took some time but in the end, we were all satisfied.
